I am trying to figure out how these gear bonuses:
INT, spell power, crit strike, resilience
interact with these toon attributes:
bonus dmg, hit rate, crit rate, haste
The reason is because I want to know what enchants and gems to spend
massive gold on when I get decent gear thru running heroics and dozens and dozens of BGs. You can't argue with gear drops; either it's better than what you have or it's not. But for customization, I'm trying to get the
most bang for my buck.
I'm leaning toward going all crit, but my guild tells me not to ignore hit rate, and this whole time I thought that was only for melee. Any advice would be appreciated. ThanksHowdi
Well, Im asuming
that you plan on raiding. . . so I'll be talking out of the hand here, so this may be a bit inacurate. (Please forgive any spelling errors, english is a third language for me :))
Int, Spirit, Hit and spell power, and why Spirit you ask, come to that in a sec. . .
Intel off course for the mana and crit, that hangs arount (80intel for 1%% crit)
Hit rating at 32.33 per 1%% chance to hit (no use of taking it above 9%%
for raiding)
Spell power, because it will let you hit harder, so throw it on :)
And now we get to spirit:
All goes well with you dps while you have mana. You are sure to run out of mana in long boss fights, so our dear friend in bliz decided to add spirit to the mage. Not many people have picked up on this, with most talents in the fire tree gives you 30%% of the spells cost, and later 30%% regen while casting, now look over at your arcane side of talents, working your way up there is anonter 6%% crit for fire ball, and another 30%% regen while casting, add the 20%% mana regen from the glyph, and there you go - 80%%
mana regen while casting . . . and this is based on you spirit. :) so, Intel, spirit, hit rating (up to 9%%) and spell power :) and of to the raids we go :)
Ps: mana per 5 at level
80 can be calculated at:
5*(0.001*sqrt(int)*spirit*0.005575)
