So, Im gonna make a mage, and I don't know wich race I'm gonna make, Troll or Undead? UD:s look cool and got WotF and cannibalize, but trolls got berserking... First im gonna lvl him whit fire spec up to 40 and then change him to frost, good or bad idea? So... Is Troll better
then UD?Wotf is good in any case for pvp, having those immunities is awsome meaning you can romp around on a path of destruction you cannot be stopped unless killed.
Berserking is really good at pve,raids etc. Imagine having all the new gear that gives plus to haste rating and berserking.well id be a troll,

all good - but my advice as a mage would be to do the reverse of what you're planning. It's easier to level early on as frost and switch to fire later.frost does less dmg then fire at the beginerr lvls and aren;t many spells for frost i'd go fire til around 50 then switch frost

Berserking decreases casting time. How is that at all useless for a mage?
Blood elves mana tap can be pretty nice, but at level 70 with 3 taps it only recovers about 483 mana. Thats okay for an emergency, but with 7-10k mana, wouldn't

Yes. Even at low levels, mana tap/arcane torrent is "tuned" to a paladin. Paladin spells are low mana cost compared to mage, as is their mana pool (look around, pallys have about 1/2-2/3 as much mana as a mage).
The amount of mana you get back is nearly useless to a mage, whose spells cost twice as much. i would say troll.
the undead are everywhere, they aren't very good looking and trolls have as much mana as the undead.

:)and if your going horde be a undead they have WOTF and plus to water breathing, and shadow resistence, and cannabalize which helps mages a dickloadwell my bf os an undead mage and he's always on top with DPS in raids. i jst started playing and i decided on the troll mage.
works pretty well, and i use it when my life is down to get the most effect... then again i'm still in a low level and have been playing for about a week : )im going undead, more mana. and wotf and canobalize in also good for mages.trolls are better all around
